How to Choose the Right Proxy Type
← Back to articles
Your choice of proxy type depends entirely on your goal. Different tasks require different levels of IP trust, stability, rotation, and budget.
Scraping
- Datacenter proxies
Best for high-volume scraping of low-security or unpopular websites. They are the cheapest and fastest option, but also the easiest to detect because they originate from hosting providers. - ISP proxies (static residential)
A good choice if your target blocks datacenter ASNs but you still need a stable IP for login sessions. They use residential ASN while remaining static, making them more trustworthy than datacenter proxies. - Residential proxies
Recommended for scraping popular platforms with stronger anti-bot systems. They provide a good balance between cost and detection resistance.
Multi-accounting and Manual Work
- Mobile proxies
A strong option for manual multi-accounting on social platforms. Mobile carrier IPs typically have higher trust scores, and rotation makes blocking more difficult. However, they are more expensive and usually slower. - Residential proxies
Suitable for automation or frequent availability checks (for example, sneakers or digital items). Often more cost-effective than mobile proxies.
