UDP Proxies

UDP is an alternative to TCP protocol - where TCP is establishing connection, UDP is firing packets without a handshake or delivery guarantee. Keep in mind that it works only with SOCKS5 (SOCKS4 and HTTP proxies don't have the required ASSOCIATE command). This doesn't mean that any SOCKS5 proxy automatically allows UDP - the ASSOCIATE command still needs to be implemented and often it isn't.

This feature is mostly being used for video streaming and gaming, where you can afford losing some packets, however it's also very important if you're working with accounts through proxies using real or emulated browser.

What UDP is being used for when working with proxies:

• route WebRTC through proxy instead of faking it;
• route DNS through proxy instead of using public endpoints;
• support HTTP/3 (QUIC) pages without falling back to HTTP/2 and triggering anti-bot systems.
